Didier Artus

Born and raised in France, Didier did the chef apprenticeship in a small restaurant outside Angers in western France at the edge of the Loire Valley. After working as Chef in different European countries, he moved to Canada in 1976 and worked for Sutton Place Hotel as a Chef.

Didier continued to work in several hotels and restaurants in Toronto. He left Canada in 1981 to work in Mexico as the Executive Chef for Sheraton (Cancun) and later on to the United States working as chef for different hotels. Didier came back to Canada in 1986 and worked in diverse restaurants and catering companies (Kosher) as their Head Chef.

Didier joined Levy Catering (Kosher) as Executive Chef from 1996 – 2000, where he excelled in delivering exceptionally high-quality cuisine, and provided great leadership for the team.

Didier graduated from Centennial College on Food Service Supervisor Diploma in 1995

Since 2001, he has also worked in various Retirement Homes (long term care) as a Regional Director of Culinary for Compass. He also worked as a Food Service Manager and as Quality Control Manager.

Didier joined Taam Tov Fine Foods in 2008 as Chef and has been delivering high quality food for many Kosher events.

Didier is a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management Since April 1995.

 

Denies Gomes

Denies is born in India and raised in Bangladesh. He did his Chef apprenticeship at the Sheraton Hotel, New Deli. He later worked as Chef for the Muscat InterContinental Hotel, Oman, Middle East for 14 years.

He moved to Canada 25 years ago, and worked as a Culinary teacher at George Brown College in Toronto for 6 months.

He later joined Inn on The Park Hotel, which also had a kosher kitchen, for seven years working as a chef. He later became their Executive Chef, staying on for 5 years.

He joined Levy’s Catering as part- time Chef for 5 years. In 2006 Denies joined Taam Tov Fine Foods as Chef and has been on the role since.

Denies has served events up to 1800 people, for kosher and non-kosher events. He excels in culinary skills, exceptional food taste, and fruit decoration.
